Popular throughout Germany, the Lyrical Quartet – Talking Poetry format is back in Munich! This will once again be an evening of suspense and controversy, of playful and combative passion: four thinking heads on the stage before the murmured comments and mirthful laughter of a riveted audience…
Four institutions – the German Literature Archive (DLA) in Marbach, the broadcaster Deutschlandfunk Kultur, the German Academy for Language and Literature and the Lyrik Kabinett Foundation – have again joined forces to host another evening of exquisite enjoyment.
The evening’s debate will involve: Barbara Wahlster (moderation), Jan Bürger, Frieder von Ammon and guest lyricist Carolin Callies, born in Mannheim in 1980. For her three books of poetry, Callies has already received numerous accolades. Her latest work – teilchenzoo. Poem (Particle Zoo. Poem) – was published this year by Schöffling & Co.
The evening’s poems will be brought to life in recitals by Birgitta Assheuer.
In cooperation with the German Literature Archive (DLA) in Marbach, the broadcaster Deutschlandfunk Kultur and the German Academy for Language and Literature.
