Why are crime novels rare in Israel? Is it really more difficult to write a detective story in Hebrew? Dror Mishani conducts a literary investigation that starts in a small public library near Tel Aviv and ends in a lost village in the Galilee under Roman rule.

Dror Mishani is a crime writer and literary scholar, teaching at Tel Aviv University. His novels ("Vermisst", "Drei" und "Vertrauen") were translated into more than 20 languages, received numerous international awards and were adapted to Cinema and Television.
