To mark the 80th anniversary of the only atomic bombs to have hitherto been dropped on cities, the Museum Fünf Kontinente (Five Continents Museum), in cooperation with the LMU Japan Center, is staging an exhibition conceived by the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. The exhibition commemorates the victims of the bombs while also taking a stand against the use of nuclear weapons.

The exhibition will be flanked by a program of lectures and an online conversation (on site) with a witness who lived through the bombings.

Tickets to the special exhibition are included in the price of tickets for the permanent exhibition. There is no charge to attend the lectures.

For more information about the exhibition and the accompanying program, please visit the Japan Center blog.
