How can the history of migration stimulate Holocaust research? And what new insights can Holocaust research give us into migration flows?
These and similar questions will be the focus of the joint congress of the University of Osnabrück and LMU Munich, organized in cooperation with the Georg von Vollmar Academy and held at the Kochel am See convention center.
The conference – entitled “The Holocaust and Migration: Beyond Flight and Displacement” – will be hosted by historians Dr. Sebastian Musch of the Osnabrück-based Institut für Migrationsforschung und Interkulturelle Studien, IMIS (Institute of Migration Research and Intercultural Studies) and Professor Cornelia Wilhelm of the Department of Jewish History and Culture at LMU Munich’s Historical Seminar. A panel of 23 international experts will be on location in southern Bavaria to discuss these issues.
Anyone who is interested can attend the congress in person or online. For more information and details of how to sign up, please visit the website of the Georg von Vollmar Academy.
