The coronavirus pandemic has brought profound changes to the daily reality of our private and professional lives, and this is particularly challenging for our mental health. That is why the WeCare@LMU initiative is supporting students and staff in the current situation by offering information, events, psychotherapy and crisis assistance, as well as emergency funds and personal counseling services. More than 70 virtual offers are available, including confidential counseling sessions on any personal and study-related or professional difficulties and problems people may be having, as well as lectures and seminars on resilience, stress, and health, alongside support with mental health symptoms and particular crisis situations.

  • Various counseling offers for students and staff, e.g. individual counseling, peer support, pastoral care, coaching, self-help groups
  • Events for students and staff, e.g. study strategies, time management, stress and self management, workload balance
  • Help for students and staff, e.g. emergency assistance, psychotherapy, LMU outpatient clinic, online resources, resilience training
  • Emergency fund for students and academic staff, e.g. assistance in case of financial difficulty (“LMU-Nothilfe”), coronavirus emergency fund for international students and academic staff

The Department of Psychology is now offering a special consultation hour for pandemic related problems.
