Computational Models of Visual Attention and Working Memory

Unlike a photographic image, humans perceive only selected aspects of their visual environment. Which aspects are selected for further processing is determined by the complex and interacting mechanisms of attention and working memory. Various competing computational models of these crucial cognitive functions exist. Attendants of this workshop will discuss these models and the benchmark data patterns they should aim to account for.
