Studying at LMU is becoming increasingly popular internationally. The share of international students has risen from 21% to 22% — significantly above the 17.2% average across German universities.
LMU currently has 6,384 matriculated students in the first semester — in other words, students who are enrolling at a German university for the first time. As the enrollment process is still ongoing, these figures will continue to rise in the coming weeks.
“Our student numbers show that our university’s excellent research-based teaching and great diversity of subjects are very attractive to large numbers of students. We would like to wish all first-semester students a fantastic start at LMU,” Professor Armin Nassehi, Vice President for Law, Economics and Social Science & Deputy LMU President.
