Collaboration Opportunities with Industry
Where to Find Opportunities
Many companies are actively looking for academic collaboration partners on specific research topics – ranging from early-stage basic research to application-oriented projects. Here you will find a current selection of calls from industry that you, as an LMU researcher, can apply to independently.
Platforms for industry collaborations
- Inpart: An international matchmaking platform that connects academic research with suitable industry partners. Companies post so-called "Campaigns" there – specific requests for research topics, technologies, or expertise they are looking for. As a researcher, you can apply directly to relevant calls and build new connections with R&D teams worldwide.
- HALO Science: A partnering platform through which companies address specific requests to the scientific community – such as requests for research projects (Request for Proposals), expertise (Request for Expert(ise)), or materials (Request for Material). Applications are usually submitted via a short, straightforward form and can typically be completed within an hour.
Good to know: For LMU members
For an initial expression of interest, a cost calculation is usually not yet required for most calls – so you can apply easily and with minimal effort. Only if a calculation is requested at a later stage, LMU members can receive expert advice from the LMU's Third-Party Funding Office (LMU access required). University Hospital (Klinikum) staff should please contact the Department of Legal Affairs and Compliance or the Klinikum's Third-Party Funding Office.
LMU members can also use the funding program database Pivot-RP (LMU access required) in the Service Portal, which contains all current calls from national and international programs.
