We support LMU and LMU Klinikum scientists in all matters relating to the protection and transfer of intellectual property – from invention disclosure to commercialization. Our services are based on LMU Munich's IP strategy, which was adopted in coordination with all faculties and guarantees maximum transparency in the patenting process while safeguarding the interests of everyone involved.

- Innovation assessment and patenting: Evaluation according to novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability, as well as patenting and subsequent commercialization to suitable industry partners.
- Commercialization options: Validation and realization of licensing and option agreements, as well as transfers to SMEs, spin-off companies, or global players.
- Advice on IP protection & transfer: Information on the criteria and steps involved in patenting and licensing, as well as advice on the protection and transfer of intellectual property.
