Acceptance as a doctoral candidate:

The application for acceptance as a doctoral candidate can be submitted throughout the year and has no deadlines.

For enrollment, we recommend submitting an application

• for the winter semester until the end of September (international applicants until beginning of September)
• for the summer semester by the end of March (international applicants by beginning of March)

We recommend submitting an application for a change of subject

• for the winter semester until mid-September
• for the summer semester by mid-March

Admission to the doctoral examination:

Registration for the doctoral examination and submission of the dissertation takes place on the dates listed below.

Please note that there may be delays in the course of the examination procedure due to individual examination conditions.

No consideration can be given to individual career options during the examination procedure. Please plan your doctoral procedure and career at an early stage.
