LMU collaborates with Go2RAIL for sustainable Erasmus mobility

LMU Munich has launched a partnership with Go2RAIL, thus setting an example for more environmental sustainability. Go2RAIL is a non-profit platform that helps students plan their Erasmus trips by train.

The collaboration with Go2RAIL was organized by the Erasmus team at LMU's International Office, which is committed to environmentally and student-friendly travel. The cooperation is in line with the Erasmus+ program's goal of promoting environmental sustainability.

Students can use the Go2RAIL platform to form "travel convoys". These convoys are groups of students who travel together by train. This in turn creates a shared experience. At the same time, less CO₂ is emitted, which is good for the climate.

Students who use Go2RAIL receive exclusive discount codes for their train tickets, making traveling by train more affordable.

LMU is the first university in Germany to join the European network "Go2UNIS." Starting in July, all students going abroad this autumn can use the service.
