This event is aimed at international students at LMU and all students who are interested in working in an international environment. Date: November 13, 2026

Registration for workshops recommended. Participation in the career fair (from 12:00 noon) is also possible spontaneously and without pre-registration.

Working in an international environment

Twice a year, we offer this event, which is aimed not only at domestic students but especially at international students.

Date for the winter semester: November 13, 2026

  • Are you a student with an international background looking to establish a long-term career in the German job market? Building personal connections with local companies is a particularly important step in this process! Our event gives you the opportunity to do just that. You’ll meet companies with a presence both in Germany and internationally and discuss your career prospects and entry-level opportunities with them. Representatives from the Bavarian University Centers will also be on hand to offer guidance.

  • Are you a student interested in working in an international environment and looking for the right starting point? This event offers you great opportunities to establish lasting personal connections with international employers from the business, social, and political sectors. The Bavarian University Centers in attendance will provide career counseling (including in academia) within their respective country groups.

We recommend that you have German language skills at the B2 level.

  • The fair will be accompanied by workshops on professional networking, job applications, and starting a career.

  • This year, for the first time, there will be an afternoon panel discussion featuring international LMU alumni who have successfully entered the German job market. Under the theme "My Career Journey in Germany," three international alumni will share their career paths, experiences, challenges, obstacles, and lessons learned. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to ask questions. The discussion will be held in English. Registration is recommended.
