About FirstSpirit
Learn more about LMU’s web content management system (WCMS), FirstSpirit.
Change content
- FirstSpirit simplifies the creation of highly integrated pages and offers flexible navigation so that users can find their way around the site quickly and as intuitively as possible.
- Content is organized by topic rather than by organizational unit.
- This includes modern design, optimized display on mobile devices, and ensuring accessibility.
- LMU’s internationalization is supported by a 1:1 language switch between German and English content.
- The FirstSpirit WCMS is hosted in the cloud by Crownpeak, which handles the technical foundation of the content management system.
- LMU’s infrastructure is managed by the central FirstSpirit Support team in Division VI.5 Internet Services, who continuously develop it to meet the needs of LMU editors.
- FirstSpirit is organized into individual "web projects," which are technically administered in collaboration between Division VI.5 and the project administrators dof each LMU unit. For details, see Structure of FirstSpirit.
- Project administrators and their editors receive central support from the FirstSpirit support team in their work with the system.
- The conceptual design and editorial management of individual web presences are conducted by the editors of the respective units.
- Coordination is handled by the site or project coordination, and when necessary, in consultation with the communication and press department.
