A web content management system (WCMS) is a system that allows content for websites to be created, edited, and published centrally. Text, images, and videos can be easily managed without any programming knowledge.
Since 2021, Crownpeak's WCMS FirstSpirit has been used at LMU, replacing Fiona. Various websites for faculties, chairs, and projects have already been implemented with FirstSpirit. FirstSpirit offers:
- a modern and responsive design,
- content prepared for the web, e.g., the LMU image pool,
- 1:1 language switching between German and English, and
- user guidance that puts visitors at the center.
LMU employees can independently create and maintain websites as editors. The service is available to all LMU employees, after qualification.
