WCMS FirstSpirit Service

A web content management system (WCMS) is a system that allows content for websites to be created, edited, and published centrally. Text, images, and videos can be managed easily without any programming knowledge.

Since 2021, Crownpeak’s FirstSpirit CMS has been in use at LMU, replacing Fiona. Various websites for faculties, departments, and projects have already been built using FirstSpirit.

LMU employees can independently create and maintain websites as editors. The service is available to all LMU employees who have completed the required training.

FirstSpirit at LMU is managed by Department VI.5 Internet Services in close collaboration with central contacts at the various departments and the Press & Communications office.

FirstSpirit offers:

• a modern and responsive design,
• content formatted for the web, such as the LMU image library,
• a 1:1 language switch between German and English and
• a user experience that focuses on site visitors.
