Around the WCMS FirstSpirit, there are several integrations and tools to help you design your web presence effectively.
These tools are integrated directly into FirstSpirit as modules or functions.
Booking system
While registrations and bookings can also be handled using a traditional web form (see below for more details), this approach has some drawbacks. In most cases, it involves a significant amount of manual administrative work and follow-up on individual incoming emails.
A more practical and modern way to handle registrations and bookings is offered by the LMU-licensed tool “Anny,” which can be used to process almost any type of booking or registration.
For example, it can be used for event registrations, room reservations, or other resources such as company cars or office hours with professors. It offers convenient features, such as registration/reservation management, a waiting list function, payment options, and much more.
You can directly integrate reservations into Anny via a sales module in FirstSpirit so that they are displayed as part of the website.
You can find more information about Anny in the LMU-internal Serviceportal.
Simple forms
FirstSpirit offers the Monday Webforms form manager for simple forms such as contact forms.
The VI.5 Internet Services Unit will be happy to create a simple web form for you. To do so, please fill out a request and keep the following points in mind:
Please also note the guidelines and instructions from the LMU Legal Department.
Translation
DeepL is an online machine translation service.
For many modules and data sets in FirstSpirit, you can use the handy translation tool "Translation Studio" with DeepL integration. This enables quick and easy translation as part of your editorial work.
You can find instructions for Translation Studio on WCMS Wiki.
Publications
If you use the University Library’s Open Access service for your publications, you can integrate them into personal contact pages or a general details page in FirstSpirit. This ensures that your publications are always automatically up to date.
For more information on Open Access, please visit the University library (UB) website
For more information on integrating Open Access publications into FirstSpirit, please refer to WCMS Wiki.
In addition to the integrated tools, we also offer the following complementary tools in First Spirit.
Please note that we do not provide support for external tools.
LMU offers "Bite", a specialized tool for managing applications that operates independently of FirstSpirit.
You can find more information about the tool on the LMU-internal service portal.
By adding an online donation tool to your website, you can collect donations for your organization via direct debit, credit card, or PayPal.
The LMU Foundations Team manages the "FundraisingBox" tool for this purpose.
The LRZ's mailing tool "Mailman" is free, available to all LMU faculties, and recommended by LMU's Data Protection Officer. It offers specialized features for newsletters and mailing lists.
Request your mailing list directly from the LRZ and configure it to meet your needs. Then, add a link to the mailing list on your website.
Matomo enables the data protection-compliant analysis of websites.
This open-source web analytics tool can be activated for individual websites upon request. If you are interested, please contact your project administrator or project coordinator—they can request that Department VI.5 Internet Services set it up.
Please be sure to review the legal information on web tracking provided by LMU’s Legal Department. For more information on data protection, please refer to LMU’s general privacy policy.
