The Division of Strategy, Research and Junior Academics is responsible for the development of measures intended to enhance the University's research strategy and advises intramural researchers on topics such as research funding, career development programs for junior researchers, and knowledge transfer.
We provide advice to the University's Governing Council on strategic positioning and development of the University as a whole. In this context, we prepare position and decision papers, and in many cases conduct the implementation of strategic decisions by developing the respective regulatory mechanisms and structures. In addition, the development of programs and structures designed to enhance working conditions and career prospects for teachers and researchers at LMU lie within our area of responsibility.
Services specifically intended for researchers include advice and support relating to applications for funding of research projects and career development, commercial exploitation of research findings and the creation of spin-off ventures, or the initiation of industry collaboration projects. We also offer comprehensive advisory services on doctoral programs.
In addition to individual counseling, we also organize events about the many topics covered by our portfolio where up-to date information is provided regarding funding schemes and organizations, where experienced and successful grant applicants offer personal account and tips, and support mechanisms created by LMU specifically for researchers are highlighted.
