PROMOS LMU

Are you looking to do an internship outside Europe and don't know how to finance it? The PROMOS LMU scholarship offers financial support to registered students for exactly this purpose.

The PROMOSLMU program or Programm zur Steigerung der Mobilität von deutschen Studierenden (Program to Increase the Mobility of German Students) usually funds a travel allowance or a small monthly subsidy. This funding is directly dependent on the payment you receive for your internship as well as the country in which it takes place. Please note that you can receive a maximum of three months of financial support, even if your internship lasts longer. Consult your faculty as to whether an internship abroad can be accredited for your studies.

Short and sweet — here's how it works:

  • Search independently for an internship
  • Write an email including your basic details to LMU Career Services
  • Fill out and sign our Training Agreement (student, faculty, LMU Career Services, host organization)
  • Apply online via MoveON (at least four weeks before your internship begins)
  • Receive a confirmation from LMU Career Services
  • Where appropriate: Complete further steps to receive your first installment of scholarship funding
  • Send your final documents to LMU Career Services via MoveON in order to receive the second installment
