LMU cultural partnerships

Introducing LMU’s cultural partners: Students can enjoy not only a diverse range of events from our exclusive cultural partners but also permanent discounts on admission prices.

Discounts and vouchers for cultural offerings

The Bavarian State Opera is one of the world’s leading opera houses and its classicist stage and is considered one of the most beautiful theaters in Europe. Every day it enriches the cultural scene with artistic impulses, outstanding productions, and socially relevant discussions.

Each season, the State Opera makes the 1st tier balcony in the dress rehearsals (both rehearsals for new opera productions and rehearsals of the Bavarian State Ballet and Bavarian State Orchestra) available exclusively to LMU students, with around 200 seats per event. This gives students the opportunity to experience the unique pleasure and quality of the opera house at no cost.

In addition to the free dress rehearsals for LMU students, anyone under the age of 30 is able to attend opera, ballet, or concert performances for only 10 euros. https://www.staatsoper.de/u30

The dates for the next dress rehearsals will be announced here.
