Virtual mobility

LMU Munich has a long history of sending and receiving students to and from partner universities all around the world. We now offer opportunities to study virtually at our partner universities.

What is virtual mobility?

Virtual mobility is the participation in relevant digital learning activities offered by an international partner university other than the home university, consciously organised on the basis of a cooperation agreement. The activities are offered for educational purposes and/or allow students to acquire new competences and knowledge, without the necessity of physical mobility.

What are the advantages of virtual mobility?

  • Gain international experience without having to travel
  • Choose from broader portfolio of modules
  • Develop digital & intercultural communication skills
  • Enjoy greater flexibility: learn at any time, anywhere
  • Virtual exchange offers students more choice – of medium, subjects and instructors

What virtual mobility opportunities are there?

  • Virtual exchange among LERU partners
This virtual exchange program is a joint initiative of several universities within the League of European Research Universities, and is intended to allow students to gain international experience without the need to go abroad.
