Outreach services for LMU employees

Employees who experience discrimination can contact LMU's counseling and outreach services. In confidential discussions, counselors can provide you with information about formal procedures and advise on possible courses of action.

Academic staff

Anti-discrimination officers advise and support academic staff who — at the hands of another LMU community member — have experienced a violation of their personal rights, in particular in the form of sexual harassment or discriminatory behavior on the grounds of race or ethnic origin, gender, religion or beliefs, disability, age or sexual identity.

The University Women's Representative and the Women's Representatives from each faculty are responsible for ensuring that female academics, female teachers and students are not exposed to any disadvantage on the grounds of their gender. In addition to this, they support the University in ensuring the equality of women and men.

The representative for staff with severe disabilities provides support in the event of unequal treatment due to social, environmental and technical factors. In addition, the representative ensures that special guidelines for people with severe disabilities are observed across all recruitment processes.

In accordance with the Policy for Preventing, Protecting against, and Dealing with Cases of Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Assault at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, a complaint about misconduct in accordance with § 3 of this policy can be submitted to the complaints office of LMU at antidiskriminierung@lmu.de. Alternatively, the complaint can also be made verbally to the complaints office for the record. The person lodging the complaint may, if they wish, be accompanied by a person of trust in accordance with Section 6 (3) of the policy for the oral complaint.
